6e0ef669be payloadSchema support in createEndpointFetcher() 
Required for REST URLs which require data to be populated on call.
For example, PUT admin/campaigns/set/:id/publish to publish a campaign.
At the time when createEndpointFetcher() is called, the ":id" parameter can not be resolved,
since the "data" argument is passed in once the returned function is evaluated (since the component using it).
Since the whole idea of createEndpointFetcher() is that components shouldn't know about the backend internals,
its not the right place to interpolate urls.

I'm sending through any payload data in addition to replacing URLs, to keep the API simple for the component.
Again, it shouldn't worry about the presence URL interpolation. The trade off here is that data will be submitted
both in the payload (in case of a POST, PUT or DELETE request), as well as (optionally) in the URL.

8c469899d0 MINOR: Fix linting errors in tests. 
Tests were previously excluded from eslint calls. This leads to messier
code inside tests, and potentially errors.

Now they all meet the listing rules, and so we don’t need to ignore
tests in .eslintignore.

21a1065329 NEW: Add createEndpointFetcher to backend 
SilverStripeBackend now has a createEndpointFetcher method, described
in its docblock in more detail.

It’s based the asset-admin code for apiCallerFromEndpoint(). It’s
refactored and generalised into framework in order to provide a
general-purpose API for tying Javascript components to backend APIs.

ce8ac58ddb Fix React DOM warnings about <form> attrs 
"class" is a reserved word in JS, hence React uses "className".
"encType" has to be camel cased correctly, see https://facebook.github.io/react/docs/tags-and-attributes.html#html-attributes

Also marked less attrs on <form> as required

a17c5cb148 NEW: Expose silverstripe-backend for modules to access. 
FIX: Ensure post has correct content-type header.

Exporting silverstripe-backend lets other modules (such as asset-admin)
use it.

In addition, the Content-type header of a post request of URL-encoded
data was being set to text/plain by default, which isn’t correct and
stopped PHP from interpreting it.

2a5c92e491 Generic state management for React GridField 
Renaming state operations from 'campaign' to 'record'.
Implemented API endpoint retrieval of GridField data.

Added more mock data into CampaignAdmin (rather than hardcoding in client),
to be replaced by CampaignAdmin API endpoint querying the real datamodel.

Using more native isomorphic-fetch instead of jQuery.ajax
to minimise dependencies and get into a more forward-thinking API.

Also catching errors in ReactJS API backend:
Emulate jQuery.ajax() behaviour. Might change at a later point
if we have a general purpose backend with a promise-based catch()
implementation.

7337f26d3a Fix non-standard url encoding in CMS search form 
jQuery uses encodeURIComponent, but also this line here:
return s.join( "&" ).replace( r20, "+" );
https://github.com/jquery/jquery/blob/1.7.2/src/ajax.js#L797

This breaks when passing the result through $.path.addSearchParams(),
which in turn uses jQuery.param - any '%20' would've been wrongly encoded as '+' by jQuery.serialise(),
which in turn gets rightly encoded as '%2B' by jQuery.param().

This had the effect of breaking CMS searches with spaces in them.

aa1aebd007 Implement client-side routing with Page.js 
- Removes thirdparty dependency History.js
- Adds thirdparty dependency Page.js to manage client-side routing
- Adds a wrapper around Page.js for SilverStripe specific behaviour
- Increased minimum browser requirement to IE10. Native HTML History API routing requires IE10 or newer (necessitated by removal of History.js)
- PJAX pannel loading via now uses promises rather than callbacks
- Adds getClientConfig method to LeftAndMain which can be used to pass config from to the front-end client

aeccb8b8e0 API: Move DBField subclasses into SilverStripe\Model\FieldType namespace 
API: Deprecate SS_Datetime.

The DBField subclasses are have all been renamed to start with “DB” and
be in the SilverStripe\Model\FieldType namespace. To keep DataObject
definitions concise, the original short variations of their names are
preserved as service definitions. Most of the field generation code
doesn’t need to change, but where field classes are referenced directly,
changes will be needed.

SS_Datetime, which is commonly referenced outside the model system
itself, has been preserved as a subclass of DBDatetime. This has been
marked as deprecated and can be removed in SilverStripe 5.

A few places that referred to $db and $casting values weren’t using
the Injector to instantiate the relevant classes. This meant that the
remapping we have created as part of moving classes into a namespace
didn’t work.

a3ee9ece90 FIX avoid javascript error when preview is https

7bb6295c79 Fix TreeDropdownField auto-close regression 
Causes build failures due to Behat not being able to select
a link from a dropdown in "Insert Media".

Follow on effect from triggering a window.resize event
when the window wasn't actually resized (in order to force a layout redraw).

The main benefit of this is so that authors who make use of
.editorconfig don't end up with whitespace changes in their PRs.

Spaces vs. tabs has been left alone, although that could do with a
tidy-up in SS4 after the switch to PSR-1/2.

The command used was this:

6030854725 Fix page reordering bug with ParentID 
If you are viewing PageA in the CMS, but move PageB into PageC,
the edit form will recieve an edit form ParentID of PageC.
This is incorrect, as only PageB had it's ParentID change.

In IE11 windows 8 call to window.localStorage was throwing out an access denied error.  Using try and catch manages the issue and allows the script to execute in IE 11 in desktop mode.

I think it is a problem with IE11 rather than the way Silverstripe is implementing the preview via an iframe from what I have been reading. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ieinternals/archive/2009/09/16/bugs-in-ie8-support-for-html5-postmessage-sessionstorage-and-localstorage.aspx.  It seems that the way IE11 deals with localStorage is broken in certain cases but I am not 100% certain of the cause yet as I have not been able to find a definitive answer.  I only noticed it was a problem when a new client said they couldn't view the admin screen properly in IE11.  I took a look in IE11 and I was experiencing the same problem which makes the admin interface layout screw up and the preview doesn't work due the error mentioned in the first post.

Instead of the original code I submitted I have amended it and added an additional function to test more robustly to see if localStorage is available and can be accessed properly.  It is a copy of the code on a blog post Mathias Bynens has written about detecting if localStorage is available and can be used: https://mathiasbynens.be/notes/localstorage-pattern

I have added a console.warn as you suggested if localStorage is not available so that at least you get a warning if localStorage tests fail.

I have tested this on Windows 8.1: Firefox, Chrome & Mac: Firefox, Safari, Chrome and it seems to work as expected.  On IE11 it displays the admin area correctly now but obviously doesn't save the preview settings between page loads if localStorage is not available.

Currently things like the upload field etc break when you use them inside a ToggleCompositeField:

869e69a9b2 BUG: Clicking icon in site tree link fails 
Code removed here intentonally prevented node selection when dragging but at the cost of clicks on site tree icons selecting the node but not loading the link. Since it's possible to drag a site tree item from the title, not just the icon, think it's better to remove this for now (choosing the lesser of two evils). A full fix to prevent node selection should follow, perhaps during an upgrade to jstree.

d5bb290b8e Don't update CMS preview on a CMS redirect 
The CMS preview causes unnecessary browser processing by loading a URL
which should be considered "in transit" when a CMS redirect is set through
the X-ControllerURL HTTP header. The CMS history processing will
load this new URL, and cause a new preview URL to be loaded.

11e48245c9 Remove "Filter" title if no search form is present

659634557d Use links for CMS preview states to allow open in new tab 
Important to allow users to send around preview links,
open draft versions in new tabs, or find out which URL to
use to preview on mobile phones and other devices which
can't load the CMS preview panel directly.

Removed CSS animations since they complicated the component too much.

Removed input/label setup since its not contained in a form,
so has no relevance as far as server-side state goes.

This does mean there's no longer an indication that only one
state can be active at a given time (which the radio buttons communicated),
but that's no different from e.g. the CMS menu.

Not an API change since the Entwine JS and PHP interfaces stay the same.

333a2aa8f9 BUG: CMS tree filters doesn't count the correct number of children for deleted pages 
This is a bug that combines Hierarchy, Versioned and LeftAndMain admins and CMSSiteTreeFilters.

This bug can be reproduced by having a large site tree with enough deleted pages in it so it doesn't
pre load all the children pages when initially opening an admin. Filter by either 'All pages including deleted'
or 'Deleted pages'. For CMS users it will look like deleted pages are gone.

The solution involves a couple of smaller fixes in both CMS and framework modules.

1) Ensure that 'numHistoricalChildren' are used instead of 'numChildren' when dealing with deleted pages
2) LeftAndMain::currentPage() deletes all the 'marking' cache previously built up by Hierarchy::markPartialTree()
3) Use Versioned::get_included_deleted() instead of raw DB queries against the DataObject tables when calculating parents in CMSSiteTreeFilter

b34aaca2e8 BUG Fix several issues around onmatch/onunmatch entwines. 
1. Add missing _super calls.

2. Make UI widget destroys more consistent to avoid exceptions.
Selectable would throw an exception in the GridField.js if destroy
called from onunmatch - at that stage jQuery UI would have had called
the destroy already. Add a guard, and change to onremove, which triggers
before the element is removed from DOM.

3. DOM traversal fails after the element is removed from DOM.
Onunmatch triggers after the removal of the element from the DOM, which
makes DOM traversal fail. Use onremove instead, which triggers while the
element is still in DOM.

8286ba346e admin/myprofile layout after validation (fixes #2644) 
Broke because the <form> tag was returned, while
the client logic was expecting the whole <div> including the <form>.
Fixed to display the button bar at the bottom,
and tested with validation errors as well as switching from/to
the panel via ajax.

2c145cd454 API JS i18n files with short locale names, generated by build task 
The files are uploaded to transifex.com now, which means we needed
to consolidate the file names (= locales). Since Transifex doesn't allow
arbitrary JavaScript structures, we're using an intermediary JSON
format which gets transformed into the JS used by the framework.

813d34b15e FIX: Use Injector API for managing Member_Validator instance. 
Updates the CMS profile page and SecurityAdmin to give developers a few ways to customise the required fields.

Added extension hook updateValidator for getValidator for things like modules to inject required fields to go along with Injector for replacing the entire class for project specific use.

6c96c490c6 Load tree parent nodes if non-existant 
This edge case can occur when a large tree is cached in HTML already,
without any nodes expanded via ajax. If a new node is added with
a parent that's not existant, it was simply placed on the root node.
This is a display bug, a full CMS refresh fixes it.

Fixes a related bug where tree causes (view) duplicates,
where the same node is rendered twice. This was due to the whole
subtree being refreshed (including the new node) through jstree's
built-in "open"/"select" events, while at the same time
creating a new node through updateNodesFromServer() callbacks.

Also added a global tree loading indication to make it clear
that the tree is still processing.

ed9f8dcf1f BUG: Fix CMS forms with validation errors responding incorrectly. 
A new form instance was being constructed for the response, which mean
that a lot of the validation information was lost. This fix means that:

* Enterered data is correctly persisted.
* A validation error notification is displayed.

dc7e2df20a Corrected translation references in templates 
Were using old entity naming scheme (*.ss) instead
of underscored version which doesn't create a new YML
namespace. This means all existing translations should indeed be used.
Was already fixed in master, but not in 3.1

DO NOT MERGE: to be reviewed.

This feature request was born out of wanting the ability to disable (for example) a top level page from being selected, while still being able to select a child page. Using setFilterFunction() simply removes the node and its children.

2d0a354405 API: Add attributes argument for CMSMenuItem. 
Currently help menu item is the only external link in the CMS and the ability for it to work is hardcoded in the template. This request makes the target attribute definable by CMSMenu::add_link().

Adds documentation for how to add a basic external link to the CMS.

52ef14a9ec BUG: Image resize allows skewing of image in IE (fixes CMS #791) 
Including this plugin seemed like the most complete solution to this
problem, and allows it to be removed when tinymce is upgraded (assuming
they have fixed this issue). Uses a compressed version of the
advimagescale fork from sourceforge
(http://sourceforge.net/p/tinymce/plugins/186/), as it allowed for
multiple tinymce instances.

45c1d2b0ce FIX webfonts in preview iframe breaking admin fonts 
In IE8, when a page in the preview iframe uses a web font (not just
references it in CSS, but actually has glyphs present in the page),
the fonts in the containing admin interface will become corrupted
(display as all squares) until the mouse moves.

This commit uses the technique described at
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9809351/ie8-css-font-face-fonts-only-working-for-before-content-on-over-and-sometimes#10557782
to cause the admin panel to re-calculated all it's fonts
after the preview iframe has loaded, fixing the glitch

1f8feb5efc API Provide a thin alternative to loadPanel/submitForm. 
This is needed in some situations when we only want to update a
small single component, sometimes even using a different controller to
the one implied in the URL.

An example here is reloading dynamically the subsite dropdown without
reloading the entire page, updating a filter sidebar or suchlike.

00ffe72944 Translations: Switch to Transifex format 
- Based on new (last) translation download from getlocalization.com
- Removed untranslated strings. Getlocalization started including those at some point
which is highly annoying, unnecessary and breaks the new transfix system,
since it'll mark all of the english strings as actual translations
- Avoid dots in entities. It confuses the Transifex YML parser
- Removed some locales unknown to Transifex which didn't have any translations anyway
- Removed "lolcat" locale, uses custom notation (en@lolcal)
  which SilverStripe's i18n system can't handle
  (needs mapping from SS naming to Zend naming)
- Renamed "Te Reo/Maori" locale from "mi_NZ" to "mi" (Transifex/CLDR notation)
- Namespaced all entities used in templates (deprecated usage)
- Converted dots to underscores where template filenames are used for namespaces,
since Transifex YML parsing handles them as separate YML keys otherwise
- Removed whitespace in entity names, SilverStripe i18n can't handle it
- Only allow selection of locales registered through i18n::$all_locales to avoid
  issues with unknown locales in Zend's CLDR database

Fixes an access issue where all public methods on FormField were allowed,
and not checked for $allowed_actions. Before this patch you could e.g.
call FormField->Value() on the first field by using action_Value.

Removes the following assertion because it only worked due to RequestHandlingTest_AllowedControllerExtension
*not* having $allowed_extensions declared: "Actions on magic methods are only accessible if explicitly allowed on the controller."

3b40711b98 BUG Resize infinite loops in IE8 (fixes #575) 
IE8 gets a bit confused and fires resize events
when element dimensions in the DOM are changed
as a result of a resize event, causing an infinite loop.
Apart from artificially throttling the event, the only solution
I've found is to check for actual window dimension changes.

This implicitly fixes an issue where TreeDropdownField panel isn't
accessible in the "Insert Media" popup, because the resize event happes
to be triggered by the popup overlay, and in effect closes the drop down
panel right after opening it.

Relating to the jQuery UI component, there's a host of issues and discussions around this, but no solution…

4548b67538 NEW: Add LeftAndMain.session_keepalive_ping config option. 
The Session-keepalive ping that is built into LeftAndMain (i.e. all of the CMS admin) can now be
turned off.  The main reason you would want to do this is if you have enabled Session.timeout,
and you want users to be locked out of the CMS after a period.

f1e567eb93 NEW: More helpful message for 'sake dev/build' on new envs. 
This change alters the no-db message on cli execution to give a bit more of a helpful set-up instruction.
The main motivation for this is so that composer can be set to run dev/build on post-install and post-update.

With that feature added, this will ensure that users installing with composer create-project won't be left
in the dark.

An improvement on this would be a shell script that interactively asked for details to populate this file
with, but one step at a time.

b480886cab BUG All tabs are in open state when changing the name of a folder. 
Submitting the form via AJAX changes the DOM controlled by the tabs
widget, it needs to be notified about the change.

01f46d039f NEW Enforce max node counts to avoid excessive resource usage 
Rendering potentially 1000s of nodes can exceed the CPU and memory constraints
of a normal PHP process, as well as the rendering capabilities of browsers.
Set a hard maximum for the renderable nodes, deferring to a "show as list" action
in the main CMS tree. For TreeDropdownField, we don't have the list fallback option,
so ask the user to search for the node title instead.

Also makes both the "node_threshold_total" and "node_threshold_leaf" values configurable

828ac7fe4f API Replaced SSViewer.custom_theme with SSViewer.theme_enabled 
Since we can't influence the setting of configuration values,
we also can't set/unset the 'custom_theme' value based on which
theme is set. This means the 'custom_theme' value goes stale,
and we can't rely on it e.g. in FilesystemPublisher.

The 'theme_enabled' toggle is a cleaner solution to the same problem,
since the 'custom_theme' was really just a way to remember the original
theme, while still disabling it. The toggle makes this more explicit,
but also requires users of the 'theme' setting to check for it.

dd6f33ab37 FIX Respect tree node limits, fix search result node display 
- Renamed $minNodeCount to more accurate $nodeCountThreshold
- The $minNodeCount attribute wasn't properly respected
during actual querying, so SilverStripe would always traverse
the entire tree (and load all objects into memory),
before then marking nodes as "unexpanded", which prevents
them from actually being rendered.
- Fixes nodes on search results to be expanded by default
- Fixes nodes on search results to correctly ajax-expand

da7e515d13 Tab state overrides by class or HTML5 history state 
Necessary to switch from tree view to list view programmatically,
which reloads the whole tabset and needs to enable the "list" tab.
Used for the new "Show list as children" functionality in the cms.

7e575481c7 CMS CSS Minor Polishing Tweaks 
Fixed what I believe to be a few very minor CSS regressions, that appeared after the CSS restructure for the side-by-side preview.

- Reverted background of the right panel (and tab active state) to the slightly darker shade (as per 3.0) to keep each of the 3 panels visually separate.

- Slightly increased padding on ui-tabs-panel as felt a but too close for comfort. Had decreased since 3.0.

- Decreased padding for logged in user name in menu, felt too excessive. (3.0 was neater)

- Evened out padding above buttons in site tree sidebar

b81f39aee5 API Handle uncaught ValidationException on CMS controller execution 
This removes the need for a lot of boilerplate code
around DataObject->write() logic, and avoids generic 500 errors
on user-level failures. This should really be a per-project choice,
but at the moment request handling doesn't allow to configure
custom exception handling.

4b54383d68 API change request handling to be more orthogonal 
RequestHandler#handleAction now exists. It takes the request, and
the action to call on itself. All calls from handleRequest to call an action
will go through this method

Controller#handleAction has had it's signature changed to
match new RequestHandler#handleAction

RequestHandler#findAction has been added, which extracts the
"match URL to rules to find action" portion of RequestHandler#handleRequest
into a separate, overrideable function

GridField#handleAction has beeen renamed to handleAlterAction and
CMSBatchActionHandler#handleAction has been renamed to handleBatchAction to
avoid name clash with new RequestHandler#handleAction

Reason for change: The exact behaviour of request handling depended heavily
on whether you inherited from RequestHandler or Controller, and whether the
rule extracted it's action directly (like "foo/$ID" => 'foo') or dynamically
(like "$Action/$ID" => "handleAction"). This cleans up behaviour so
all calls follow the same path through handleRequest and handleAction, and
the additional behaviour that Controller adds is clear.

1bb109041f FIX Node updates in IE without non-object error 
Bug was most prominent after page publication,
which triggers a node reload. It iterated through
all node attributes to assign them to the existing node,
which apparently includes some non-scalar attributes
that can't simply be copied in IE.

ebe41cdadf CSS fixes for Batchactions. 
On some browsers Batchactions block looked OK, but on others (e.t. Opera on Linux) every element in Batchactions block had different height.
The height of these elements was related to font size which is a little bit different on every OS'es and browsers.
