:text: "**PUBLIC SPACES**\r\nOur aim together is to always keep the public spaces
looking nice and inviting in Hub Feenix! There can be visitors coming to look
at the place any time, so lets not leave tools, cleaning equipment, our clothes
or shoes, etc. wandering around.\r\n\r\n**DOORS**\r\nAll the outside doors must
always be kept locked. The main door can sometimes be open during events and courses,
but only during daytime. And remember to give back your outdoor key when leaving!\r\n\r\n**RESPECT
THE PROPERTY OF HUB FEENIX**\r\nEverything you see at Hub Feenix is always somebodys
property, that somebody has bought - including the things in the storage rooms
and in the basement. So please always ask first if you need to take or use something.
The food storages on the 1st floor are only for the use of the cafeteria / customer
kitchen. Common Workaway food can be found in the accommodation corridor kitchen,
and the room next to it.\r\n\r\n**COMPOSTING AND RECYCLING**\r\nWe recycle all
the waste we can - old food, plastic, cardboard, paper, metal, glass.\r\nIn Finland
you get money back from empty drinking bottles and cans, so its worth taking
them back to the shop and not crush them.\r\n\r\n**HEATING**\r\nHeating the big
house in the winter time is very expensive, so lets take good care of the heated
spaces. We do our best, but it is often pretty cool indoors too. The best way
to stay warm is to wear a lot of warm clothes inside the house too. We will lend
you some if you need.\r\n\r\n**NO CANDLES**\r\nThere is an automatic fire alarm
system in the house, so we can not burn candles or incenses inside. It costs 1000€
if the fire brigade drives here for a false alarm.\r\n\r\n**VISITORS**\r\nWhen
having visitors, and showing them around, only stay in the areas that are meant
for the public. Please dont take visitors to the basement or the storage corridors.\r\n\r\n**RENTING
HUB FEENIX SPACES**\r\nIts possible to rent spaces for your own interest, like
art studio, wood workshop, treatment space, etc. For the Workawayers, using a
space for one hour, costs one hour of work. If heating is needed, theres a separate
fee for that. Talk to Torsten beforehand to agree on the renting details. If you
would like to rent a space for a longer time, or for a bigger group of people,
that is also possible: talk to Torsten about it.\r\n\r\n**QUESTIONS**\r\nAlways
feel free to ask, if you need help or information. There are no silly questions!\r\n"

- The kitchen lounge has several board and card games.\r\n\r\n**Cross-country
skiing** - There's a ski equipment in the Hub for everybody to use. \r\n\r\n**Ice
skating** - You can borrow our ice skates too, in Karjaa there is a free ice skating
arena and sometimes (depending on weather and snow situation) it's possible to
skate on the lake too.\r\n\r\n**Watching movies** - There's a large screen and
a comfy sofa in the living room.\r\n\r\n**Swimming in the lake** - Take a summer
swim, or a walk during winter.\r\n\r\n**Bike riding, jogging, walking** - There
are many possibilities to explore and enjoy the surrounding nature, there are
both shorter and longer treks around the Hub.\r\n\r\n**Mushroom and berry picking**
- This is a popular Finnish hobby in the late summer and autumn! Great way to
spend time in the forrest and possibly find some healthy ingredients for cooking.\r\n\r\n**Sharing
your skills with others** - It's fun to have little workshops together with other
volunteers, if you have any hobby or skill you would like to share with others.
We've already had for example Japanese tea ceremony, photographing workshops,
French bread baking, Jiujitsu, Yoga and so on..."

:header: Code of Conduct (House rules)
:text: "Hub Feenix is a non-profit community and cooperation that promotes creativity,
wellbeing and continuous learning. Hubs own values are love of life, fairness,
constant learning of new things, and giving back to life.\r\n\r\nThese common
rules have been created, so that everyone who stays, works, lives and visits Hub
Feenix can feel completely safe and well. These rules apply to everyone who works,
lives and visits in Hubs inside and outside premises.\r\n\r\nBoth adults and
children follow the same rules, and also the guests who are taking part in events
and courses. If for example some other rules have been agreed for the course space
during the course program, participants must anyhow follow this Code of Conduct
outside the course space in public areas.\r\n\r\nThe course leader is responsible
for ensuring that all participants follow the rules of the house. This also includes
rules regarding emailing and social media, which are updated according to need.\r\n\r\nAt
Hub Feenix, everyone is treated and addressed kindly, respectfully and equally,
regardless of gender, color, age, nationality, profession, sexual orientation
or social status.\r\nEveryone respects the personal space and physical and mental
integrity of others.\r\n\r\nAny kind of physical interaction always requires the
consent of both parties. Course leaders are responsible for ensuring that this
rule is followed also within their course program. If you would experience harassment
in any situation, even as a part of a course program youre attending, please
contact our staff. We have a special person for these situations.\r\n\r\nEveryone
in Hub Feenixs indoor and outdoor premises commits to behaving in such a way
that they do not cause disturbance or shock to other people in the area. In public
spaces, everyone must wear clothing, and use swimsuits when using the sauna or
swimming\r\nin the lake.\r\n\r\nVegetarian eating is complied within the house,
as well as low alcohol consumption (and no substances) in all of Hub's premises
and outdoor areas.\r\n\r\nEveryone in Hub Feenix respects the property of others.
Use of the machines, equipment and spaces of the Hub is always agreed separately,
as is the fee for using them.\r\n\r\nEveryone in Hub Feenix is obliged to be considerate
of others and not cause disturbance. Loud working and other loud noises must be
avoided between the hours of 22:00 08:00."

:header: Travel to Turku
:text: Turku is the oldest city in Finland, and the former capital of the country.
It has a long history, stretching back to the Middle Ages. The city of Turku was
born already in the 13th century in the place where the river Aura runs to the
sea. The word turku comes from tǔrgǔ, which means ”market place” in Ancient Russian
and tori in Finnish. It is located in the region of Southwest Finland, and it
is the capital of the Province of Western Finland.

:text: "The distance between Hub Feenix and Turku is 120 km. We reccommend you to
take a train from the nearest station in Karjaa/Karis. The cost of the train ticket
(one way) is approximetaly 10€-15€. The price depends on availibility and time
of your booking. If you buy the ticket a few days or weeks earlier, tickets will
be cheaper. Finnish railway is well developed and is one of the most popular way
of traveling in Finland. The journey by train takes around 53 minutes. You can
book your ticket [here](https://www.vr.fi/en).\r\n\r\nYou can also rent the Hub
Feenix's car, it's around one and half hour drive."

:header: Volunteering at Hub Feenix
:text: "Hub Feenix is a non-profit organisation bringing all kinds of people together.\r\nWe
also welcome travellers on a budget that prefer to work rather than pay money.\r\n\r\nThis
mostly happens through the [Workaway website](https://www.workaway.info/en/host/735959816971),
which creates a safe space for people to meet.\r\nAfter the intial application,
we have a video chat, using the privacy of the [Signal App](https://www.signal.org/)\r\n\r\nA
successful application usually contains the following:\r\n- your reason to join
the Hub (not just coming to Finland)\r\n- details about you (what inspires, what
skills you can share with us, etc.)\r\n- the work you want to contribute\r\n-
your plans: timing & itinerary\r\n\r\nWe have a three weeks minimum stay and usually
two months maximum stay.\r\nWe are aware that some people want to move to Finland,
and we can discuss this once you are here, but no promises can be made for a stay
longer than 2 months.\r\n"
